Mekon: we pay $250/month for a room/closet. We share the cabin with 6 other couples/individuals. Sometimes we're the only ones there. Sometimes EVERYONE is there.
Our cabinmates are...interesting, to say the least.
It's all worth it though. Walk across the street to SkiBowl. 15 min. up the hill to Timberline Lodge. 15 min. around the mountain to Mt. Hood Meadows. Walk up the street to the sledding hill. Walk across the street to the bar.
Being right on the mountain...priceless. _________________ Check out my blog: climberchica.blogspot.com

Playing hooky from school on a pow day earlier in the week. The 11 year old boy ("The snow keeps hitting me in the face!"):
And the 8 year old girl ("Dad, it's up to my waist!"):

First "real" (tour mode and skins) BC tour for the boy - dropped off the back side of the resort and lapped back in. Wonder how much longer I'm going to be able to stay ahead of him on the skintrack.

Nice, all of it!
Climbing is a new thing we tried for the first time in California this winter. Really fun!
And I think some time between 10 and 14 years, they get faster than you uphill, skinning or skating. _________________ /RT

Double post with a Vid TR.
Otherwise, this is a glimpse into our spring break at Whistler. Snow played a big role in making it a good one.

Ice climbing was the proverbial 'icing on the cake' for a fantastic week of shredding at Big White:
