Felicidades mi amigos! Once again the benevolent will of the great spaghetti monster allows me to grace the hallows and willows of your barren hall of mead.
Firstly we must of course give thanks to coffee of all kind and nature. For within the love of coffee we find better stamina, the kind of which Carlita Jones Abuela Von Trapp certainly enjoys but not the kind that her grandmother (recently deceased) enjoys.
Of course we talk about the ski
and (or as well) or (even so) or perhaps (indubitably) and then (non-ironically) with (not even malice) but perhaps (too many parentheses)
Forward into the darkness and out of the light (as the ninas often say)
I had a story of love, angst and salacious sexual positions to tell you about but unfortunately I was informed that you only care about skiing and would not like to hear about a 23 year old former gymnast who is a mater yoga instructor (bikram of course) and tends to perform cleanses in the nude.
ONWARD TOWARDS THE SKIING!
But first and of course last... This will be my last post here. Well this will be my last post in this location. Well.. actually this will be my last post from this general area rug, but perhaps not from the location but the least of which is that it will not be my last post here but rather the first post leading towards another post that will be from a different location.
There will be trees, there will be skiing and there will be passionate ritualistic love making at 3:00 AM underneath a full moon with unicorn calls in the background.
As you can distill from my essence I am indeed performing a move from the palatial mansion in the hills over Medellin to the bustling city scape of my palatial masion overlooking the river in another area of the mountains over Medellin.
This particular location has many new fashion trends, as well as many new fashion trends which pertain towards skiing but also life.
It also will allow me to really get back into the world of Coffee, in an almost perversely erotic manner (or manor, but that would be letting the gato out of my proverbial sack to use one of your idioms)
I have enjoyed spying on all of you who did not know what I did know when I knew what I was knowing. I watched many of you surreptitiously as you slid by me without knowing that my man-servant (Pancho) was watching.
Now to the crux of the matter...
I (at one time this year) stopped the Tele.
SHOCKED YOU SAY?!
HIJO DE P.... careful my friends...
It was cold in that month of Deciembre and I watched as ski, man, binding all were separated in an explosion of snow.
Therein became the exile from knee-drop land. I than returned to the before and the after with heavy amounts of pure IV'd espresso shots into the world of rigid ski boots and gear that reminds one of the cuffs and locks in Sarah Elizabeth's basement.
I was IMMOBILIZED!
Yo Tengo Amor!
There was a change, speed was faster as was the rate at which I plummeted down the hill. Legs were fresh. Brownies were Potable. Eateries were offering discount wares. Skies were blue, women were wearing their hair in curls. It was a glorious time friends.
Then upon the dreams descend that thought of knee down and fresh face snow with demons that roared without fear of death.
It must come back, and so I returned to the knee and realized the way. The break was not final and not absolute but endearing and necessary.
Speed was regained and air was obtained. These shall translate well in the Espanol Telemark.
However, it isn't Tele for all, but tool for all and with that tool comes fun and with that fun comes enjoyment and with that enjoyment comes giddy consumption of fresh white powder, snow, and coffee.
Oh to be young, fun and full of things that are very potable.
Now upon the length of this post I must cease and drag my freshly hewn carcass upon the length of my journey. Fear not but the time shall come again when hearing my name and voice will tell ye of times spent with the knee facing downward and the pelvis facing forward.
Toodles! |

Oh Juan, your words, your poetry...like hot coffee that almost burns the tongue, strong, but also sweet. Muy besos to your burro - how does he feel about that fancy unicorn taking the limelight? Hope to hear more about mountain river fashion trends...is it all about waders this spring or highwaters? To show or not show the ankle is the question. _________________ "Skiing Out of Your Mind requires careful sensing, careful thought, and a reasoned exploration of your problems."
