I recently took a trip to Colorado for work and really enjoyed being in a state I used to live in. I spent several years in Colorado living in alma and doing the breckenridge thing. Some things are the same in CO: friendly people, lots of people actually, beautiful views and bad drivers. Some things are different: is downtown Denver the new times square or Tokyo? All in all good trip. I did a snow dance for you CO folks cause you desparatly need snow.

when's the last time you've been to Times Sq or Tokyo? I reckon Denver's pretty mellow compared to those two. understand your thoughts about the good-ol days. i bet Alma hasn't changed so much.

and, yeah, it's a rough snow year........ thanks for your kind prayers.

I don't think the drivers here are all that bad, they're certainly more courteous than some places I have lived.

Hey wait, Boulderites are defending Colorado drivers? You guys are the worst in the state. Driving in CO-spgs is a pleasure- them re-pubs sure know how to use a turn signal.

Colorado drivers SUCK! I try to drive only when nobody else is on the road, like on Sunday afternoons. Laughing

Every place I have lived, people bitch about the drivers there. Ithink drivers everywhere suck. And the people driving faster than me? Those crazy maniacs should get off the road! And the people going slower than me? Sheesh, those people should learn how to drive!

Thank you for that observation George. Laughing

Back in the day drivers sucked- now they all have cell phones in one hand so they suck and blow. (partial credit to Bart Simpson).

Back the first post it does kinda crack me up how Denver is trying so hard to become a "big city" (EG: millions spent on new updates for the airport) I have no problem with the efforts since I rarely go to Denver; if the people want it let it happen. The more people who flock to Big D the worse I-70 gets.

I don't know what's funny about major metropolitan growth. Are Atlanta, Houston, Dallas Fort Worth, LA, and Chicago funny too?

The folks that are pushing growth in the Front Range don't care about traffic on I70.

Sometimes I have a growth in the front range. It usually goes away though.

On a more serious note; having been born in Denver and frequented Fort Collins in the 70's, I hardly recognize the place anymore. Go Aggies!

All driver suck. Except me.

Snow in Colorado hasn't been that bad this year. November and December were pretty grim, but mid January to present has actually been pretty good.

No complaints.
