Yeah a friend of mine skied it this weekend, but didn't make any remarks as to whether or not it was particularly unstable.

Nice!

Noted the flyer line photo. I assume that's in the morning? Wasn't like that in the afternoon...there was no line. Twisted Evil

That was right before the lunch. It was madness plus a windy/scary ride.

Well, what it all comes down to is that we have snow now. I will be heading to Wolf Creek in a week which I hope will be fun, but I love skiing glades that I have scoped, nipped and done much due diligence on here in Vermont. I am not sure how many of these posts are sent by skiers who can get the goods in the town in which they live. I am fortunate to be able to do just that and today, after an epic set of powder runs in the morning I worked for a few hours midday and picked up my daughter at school, high jacking her from her ski race training, and we climbed and skied from the late afternoon to sunset. So cool to be able to share the love of powder with a 12 year old who has been skiing bullet proof gates all season. Her eyes lit up when I told her the plan. Powder vs gates .... no contest! Here is my hope that this weekends snafu will just go away. Keep the faith, think snow and go and get it... right now

Here's my crudely edited video documenting the dump (including the timelapse and helmetcam footage) we got this Saturday.

The first bit 'o skiing is sort of in the Worcester range. The second bit is at Jay.

Some excellent crashes are towards the end....

Also here are the rest
of the post-storm photos...

Nice video, Sawyer
here is a short POV clip (in HD) I shot today. No music. Later we took some runs down to the road. Snow was really deep on the last pitch Cool

You can hear me nick a branch from time to time, you can watch it full screen, too.

Great photos and video everyone! Looks like more on the way.... Hope the weekend outlook improves. I'm just happy to be skiing from the front door. Love local skiing! Though depending on the weather on Sat I might attempt to explore a back country area that I suspect is really good based on recommendations from some powder snob friends of mine... N VT but not near lifts if anyone is interested in getting out.

Figures we get all this powder right after I need to send my new powder skis in for warranty.... Still haven't used them at all this season. Lets hope for more spring storms!

If you pay attention to the video labeled 2/26/12 at around 1:48 you'll see what looks like the same crown in the upper left corner as they ski the adjacent slide. I'd have just gotten my butt out of there as the other group did.

But, these guys have been getting the goods in an otherwise poor season.
