Do you guys have any suggestions for a waterproof case for skiing with an iPhone? I could imagine finding the navigation features and camera useful.

BUT it allows you to use it while on the go, rather than having to stop, fiddle, worry about dropping.

Your phone in an otter box will be fine if you drop it on the snow...

Yeah, I LOVE the Otterboxes, don't get me wrong...but just want to make sure the OP knows they are not waterproof. Unfortunately, true waterproofness requires that it be un-usable to a certain degree while in the case. The Pelican at least has a cable port so you can still use headphones/Siri on the 4S.

Won't any truly waterproof case make using the touch screen problematic ?

How about a Ziplock quart freezer bag? (and blue tooth headphones)

Zip Locks leak, and aren't shock proof in a crash. Bluetooth headphones run my battery out MUCH faster.

I'm mixed on otterboxes. I went and dropped the big bux for a defender series for my atrix. I'm a clutz and very hard on electronics. However, i find the case to be too cumbersome and bulky. I don't like it. And i don't like the built in screen protector. too hard to get it to look nice, requires the 'powder trick'. I bought some pre-cut stick on screen protectors and go without the Box. anyone want it?

To be honest, with the Gorilla Glass I don't even see a need for a screen protector. I've used my Samsung Fascinate "naked" for over a year and it doesn't have a single scratch. Oh yeha, and I'm rough as hell.

mine took on a few scratches. Evil or Very Mad have to protect it. My jeans pocket is a pretty unforgiving place. A week at the beach right after i got it didn't help. and then there's when i forget and throw it in with my keys. if there's a way to break something, i usually find it. Evil or Very Mad

Zip lock bag will work. You can get a really heavy duty one at REI. I'm on my 2nd iphone now, seems to work for me. While I am skiing with the hippies and kansas folk at Eldora.

I dropped my Otter Box clad Four into a jacuzzi the day after I got it. Jumped in, fished it out as quickly as I could and it's worked fine ever since.
