The first-annual Eastern Snow and Avalanche Workshop ("ESAW") will be held November 5 (Saturday) in North Conway.
Attendance fee is $45, payable only at the door, only in cash. (And no, I have nothing to do with fee collection!)
Preregistration is strongly encouraged, as attendance is limited to 75, and walks-in will be allowed only if we don't fill up before then via preregistration.
To preregister, PM me your email address, and then I'll forward you the official Word doc file, which includes the email address (not mine!) to which you send your contact info, in return for which you'll receive from the organizer (not me!) some other details (including the location).

7:30 – 8:20 Registration

11:45 – 1:15 Lunch -1315 Raffle

1:15 – 2:00 Snow Physics and its relationship to advances. Sam Colbeck

2:00 – 2:45 Avalanche accidents on Mount Washington, the eastern dilemma, and the role of social media and innovation past, present, and future. Christopher Joosen

2:45 – 3:00 Break – 1500 Raffle

3:00 – 3:45 Avalanche Air Bags: The innovation of personal protective equipment in avalanche terrain. Eric Siefer/Doug Workman- Mammut-USA

3:45 – 4:30 Avalanche Education: WHO SAYS You Can’t Assign Level 1 Avalanche Students Pre-Course Homework? Jonathan Shefftz

4:30 Closing Remarks, followed by Social and Avalanche Vendor Booths Upstairs at IME
