Comments: S3 were my second option behind S7s but couldn't get the latter. I also would have preferred the 186cm length but not available. First week of mainly piste skiing, dry snow and skis performed beautifully. First time NTN but after intial getting acquainted period the skis were very rewarding - responsive, easy to turn, and great edge hold at speed, and stable. The S3 is a really fun ski, bounce from turn to turn in good snow without requiring physical effort. Maybe the bindings and good snow conditions were partly responsible for the positive feelings.
Second week, over a metre of snow in 5 days (maybe close to 2 metres). Knee deep powder on bumps, thigh deep in trees. Ski were a little short but once got in the groove found them to be lots of fun, porpoising in and out of snow from turn to turn. Bindings boot centre mounted. If I had thought of it at the time I would have moved the bindings to the back notch on the base plate.

Overall great ski.

Agreed, I have been skiing the 186 for about 3 weeks as my daily driver. I use it for everything except 12 inch and more days or back country. Very quick edge to edge and easy to turn. I have found a speed limit(or turn limit) on groomers but thats expected and you just have to ease off the edges. I will also add that they are really poppy and fun to get in the air.
