Yeah, when I demo'd the first gen Prophet I really loved how you didn't need to ratchet down the buckles to get the boot to perform. It was really responsive. Couldn't judge about the heel pocket as I only skied them for a few runs.

I was a little annoyed they announced the newer version right after I sprung for Shivers. Oh well. The Shivers ski well enough for me so I'm not going to bother to replace them.

the way the buckle teeth capture the buckle. I liked the old hook at the end of the buckle on my energys. This one is more fumbley.

Not sure if it helps, but the rep gave me a tip: when buckling up the boot, always do the cuff strap first followed by the buckles. Was alot easier after that.

OK - I have got 3 solid days on the new Prophet now, on lots of different terrain. Groomers, high speed carving, moguls, moguls with stumps and rocks Wink, etc.

The stiffer bellows are really noticeable. In situations that would have rocked you forward especially on a stiffer bigger ski are no longer a problem. You lose a bit of engagement sensitivity but I think the bellows are better balanced with the potential of the boot.

I would give the new bellows a big thumbs up.

I wanted to add that I have the original stiff orange evo NTN boots also. I am a big guy so the evo's stiff bellows don't take away from that boot's sensitivity. The evo boot delivers great power to the ski, and the evo's definately a "resort boot only" unlike the prophet, which is a way more versitile boot.

Lately, I have come to like the prophet so much that it's a toss up which boot I will chose for a resort day. That's a lot to say for boot as versitile as the prophet, to compete for resort use with a dedicated resort boot.

*I figured out the buckle catch too.... very nice design

Ordered new Prophets today. Talked to Telemark-Pyrenees who talked to Garmont. The heelblock is gray in all the 2010/11 stock at Garmont France, so not a reliable dating source...
