From your article: "Henry E. Hudson, the federal judge in Virginia who just ruled health care reform unconstitutional, owns between $15,000 and $50,000 in a GOP political consulting firm that worked against health care reform. "
Now how can that be legal??? |
It will all come out in the wash.
| Quote: | WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. Senate on Wednesday convicted U.S. District Judge G. Thomas Porteous of Louisiana on four articles of impeachment, making him just the eighth federal judge in history to be removed by Congress.
Mr. Porteous, who sat before senators in the well of the chamber as they voted separately on each count, declined to comment as he left the chamber. Daniel Schwartz, one of Mr. Porteous' lawyers, said, "We're obviously disappointed with the result."
House prosecutors laid out a damaging case against Mr. Porteous, 63, a New Orleans native who was a state judge before winning appointment to the federal bench by President Bill Clinton in 1994. The prosecutors said gambling and drinking problems led him to begin accepting cash and other favors from lawyers and bail bondsmen with business before his court.
He also was accused of lying to Congress during his judicial confirmation and filing for bankruptcy under a false name. |

The government can't mandate a national drinking age, so they just deny money to states that aren't at 21. The government perhaps can't mandate that you buy health insurance, but it seem they could provide everyone who doesn't with a higher income tax rate. Same diff. |

Repeal EMTALA?
If mandatory buy-in is unconstitutional, how can the government force the insured to pay for the uninsured?
No payment, no treatment. Go away. Not our problem.
Are we ready for that? |

One has to question 'why'? If you are good at what you do, wouldn't billing clients be a higher priority?

Which is why its always good to get real close to your dive buddy when you unzip your wetsuit. Just you had better hope its not a shart. And anything with substance, well its better to just abort the dive. _________________

i dont know...100 feet down in the cold-cold waters of lake erie...when i got to go, i got to go. thats the advantage of a wetsuit over a dry suit. i dont recommend peeing in a dry suit. _________________ When you think of the long and gloomy history of man, you will find more hideous crimes have been committed in the name of obedience than have ever been committed in the name of rebellion.

A deuce in a wetsuit is just going to make a gosh awful mess. And yes, 100' deep in the Big Murky that is Lake Champlain, surfacing to pee does not even compute. But I'm gonna do my best not to fill it with mud. safety stop? what's that? _________________

Well, he said shart which is kind of in between. Of course we're guys and it's just another form of skid marks that we leave in out underwear. I might not agree with Laura on a lot of things but she was right on that one. _________________ Creeds and doctrines are like a raft to get you to the other shore and then to relinquish.
